THE OPPORTUNITY
Job Overview
Artisan Assistants required for Steelpoort / Burgersfort with;
YOUR ROLE
Responsibilities
o Grade 12
o Basic mechanical knowledge
o Previous work experience on mining equipment
o Understand and be familiar with safety and compliance
o Assist qualified artisans with the maintenance, service and repairs on all vehicles, equipment and machinery
o Report to respective Artisans
o Do planned maintenance, service and improvements.
o Assist Artisans with functions, required doing proper planned maintenance including but not limited to :
o Wash machines
o Grease and lubricate machines
o Change filters
o Do basic fitting like flexible pipes and other
o Do away with old oil as per procedure
o Clean the workshop and tools
o Collect spares
o Assist with breakdown maintenance
o Follow and adhere to all mine rules and procedures
o Assist with vehicle inspections
o Routine maintenance
o Part replacement
o Documentation support
o Safety compliance
o Tool maintenance
o Customer interaction
o Emergency response team collaboration
